Board Games by the Bay is New Zealand?s fastest-growing board games event series: it?s on in Auckland, Tauranga and Hamilton.
Started in 2011 by the Dave and Ange of Seriously Board, these weekends aim to bring together the Kiwi community to play modern boardgames and have fun, while introducing new families to the excitement of modern games.
Board Games by the Bay events are family friendly. The average attendee is 25-45, male or female, and some of them even bring their kids! Primary school children and younger can enter for free, but must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
The 2012 Auckland event kicks off this weekend. Here?s what you need to know:
