LG clearly doesn't have a monopoly on Quad HD smartphone screens -- Japan Display has unveiled two low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) LCDs that offer the extra-sharp 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. The headlining 5.4-inch panel is ever so slightly denser than its Korean equivalent, at 543ppi; there's also a 6.2-inch (473ppi) model for giant devices. Both LCDs have "dead-bands" that are just 1mm thick, which should lead to extra-slim bezels on finished products. Japan Display hasn't said which companies will use the Quad HD screens, but it's easy to see one of the joint venture's partners (Hitachi, Sony or Toshiba) calling first dibs.
He's gearing up for the premiere of his new comedy "Anchorman 2: The Legacy Continues" and during promotions Paul Rudd scored the cover spot of C for Men magazine's Fall 2013 issue.
During his Q&A session with the publication, the "This Is 40" actor chatted about his move to Hollywood at 24 years old and his career since then.
Check out a few highlights from Mr. Rudd's interview below. For more, be sure visit C for Men magazine!
On his acting career:
"I've always been very conscious of making decisions that felt right for me. You never know how anything is going to turn out. The majority of things I did in the first 10 years of my career were because I got the job. But I'd never audition for things I didn't want to do just for the sake of work."
On Hollywood:
"I knew the time was right through a series of crazy things that happened. You know: car wrecks and all sorts of other cosmic messages. I think I had hit a point where my own happiness as to where I was living had become just as important as my desire to be in the right place for my career. I thought I could try and make it work out here. And so I did."

Satellite imagery on Oct. 25 showed a cold front approaching the remnants of Tropical Storm Lorenzo in the central Atlantic Ocean.
A visible image captured by NOAA's GOES-East satellite image showed the oval-shaped remnants of Tropical Storm Lorenzo east of a frontal system in the central Atlantic Ocean. The image was created by NASA's GOES Project at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
The National Hurricane Center noted that Lorenzo's remnants were generating disorganized showers and thunderstorms about 1,150 miles southwest of the Azores islands on Oct. 25. The remnant low pressure area is moving to the northeast at 10 mph, and environmental conditions are not expected to be cooperative to help Lorenzo regenerate. The National Hurricane Center gives Lorenzo's remnants a 20 percent chance to come back before it gets swallowed by the approaching cold front.

Halloween is upon us, which means all of us must face two truths: 1.) Yes, you are too old to dress up in a sheet to score free candy. 2.) Luckily, you'll never, ever age out of carving Jack-O-Lanterns.
